See the Texas musician who inspired legions of fans and earned legendary status among guitarists.

From Oak Cliff on the south side of Dallas to the blues clubs of Austin, Stevie Ray Vaughan established himself as the finest guitar player of his generation and perhaps the best of all time. From 1983 until just before his death in 1990, photographer Tracy Anne Hart captured Vaughan as he summoned magic with his passion, his technique, his intensity, and his love for the music. The result of that work is in the book, Seeing Stevie Ray. Join Hart for a talk on this deeply felt visual portrait of Stevie Ray Vaughan, and experience his genius in an entirely new way. Inspiration for this program comes from the exhibition, GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World, and the Bullock Museum's Texas History Galleries. High Noon Talks highlight interesting and often untold topics through a casual lunch-time lecture. Register for our virtual program or our limited capacity in-person program at the Museum. The in-person program will follow safety procedures of the Museum. Please review the procedures to ensure that all participants will enjoy a safe, healthy, and engaging experience. Purchase this book online through the Museum Store. All purchases support the Bullock Museum’s exhibitions and educational programs.

Program is FREE to the public.
