For over 45 years, Women & Their Work has been a cornerstone of the Austin arts community. Nationally recognized for the quality of its work, W&TW has played an important role in the development of the visual and performing arts in Texas. We have actively developed the careers of more than 2,000 women artists, presenting hundreds of visual art exhibitions, music, dance and theater performances, spoken word and literary events, and film festivals. We also provide education programs for over 1,000 AISD students each year who might otherwise have little exposure to art.

Our mission is to foster the artistic growth of women visual and performing artists by encouraging them to take creative risks and make new, adventurous work; to educate a wide range of audiences about the art of our time; to serve artists by providing fiscal sponsorship and technical support; and to present programs that speak to the diversity of this region. W&TW presents over 50 events a year featuring on-going exhibitions of Texas women artists and bringing artists of national stature here. It is one of the only organizations of its kind in the region.

Admission to the gallery is free. Donations are appreciated.
