Brush Square Museums: Weaving for Beginners

Join the Brush Square Museum staff for our monthly Textile Workshop at the Austin Recreation Center!

Learn basic patterns on a frame loom.

  • Location: Austin Recreation Center (Enrichment Room)

  • Parking: Free

For our Fall workshops, we will be learning the basics weaving on frame looms, how to crochet 2-D pumpkin decorations for your home, and creating macrame plant hangers! The art of textile making has been practiced for thousands of years, and was a staple of early Texas life. These classes are FREE and open to all ages. No supplies are needed; just bring yourself—and a friend!
