Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve
Bring the entire family to enjoy Austin's natural treasure: Wild Basin. Nestled in the hills on the west side of town, this 227-acre preserve features woodland, grassland, and creekside habitats of the Texas Hill Country. Join us year-round for family events, workshops, children's programs, and weekend hikes to learn about native plants, animals, geology or astronomy. Or explore over 3 miles of hiking trails on your own, and Go Wild!
