Wildflower Center

The purpose of the Wildflower Center is to educate people about the environmental necessity, economic value, and natural beauty of native plants. The Center is a 179-acre native plant botanical garden with numerous gardens and natural areas, scenic trails, Children's Little House, visitors gallery, observation tower, gift store, and cafe. Founded in 1982 by the former First Lady and actress Helen Hayes, the Wildflower Center continues to help beautify America and restore its natural heritage.
