About The Austin Wall
Standing 28’ x 28’ and weighing 2 tons, The Austin Wall is an impressive feat of artistry, as well as engineering. The upper portion of the wall contains a colorful abstract collage while a black and white negative image of the Hill Country occupies the bottom portion of the wall, which also doubles as wide glass doors that can pivot open to connect the lobby to a large jury assembly room. Taken together, the upper and lower portions of The Austin Wall create a civic monument that celebrates the work of the United States District Court, the dynamic city of Austin, and the beautiful Texas Hill Country, while reinventing the centuries-old tradition of glowing, color-rich stained glass for the 21st century. www.cliffordross.com
