Nature Nights at Wildflower Center
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will host three free ‘Nature Nights’ in June with engaging activities and experts on Central Texas nature topics. Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m., join the Center for unique learning experiences, imaginative crafts and fun activities. Nature Nights begin June 13 with the topic of plants and flowers. Check out roots and shoots underneath the microscope, name the twisted tree in the Center’s Texas Arboretum and much more. On June 20, learn about amphibians, including how to use household objects to make toad and frog calls. Come June 27 to visit with a local entomologist and take a walk on the wild side by discovering what insects nibble the plants of the Center. Events are sponsored by H-E-B and KVUE. Admission to the Center is free the day of and evening of Nature Nights. For additional details, including July dates, visit: http://wildflower.org/nature/ or call 512-232-0100.
