Midday Music at the Blanton
The harp studio of Delaine Fedson explores how music can evoke a setting as compared to the way landscape painters depict the American West. The eclectic program of chamber music features works by Maurice Ravel, Astor Piazzolla, Vincent Persichetti, and UT student composer Brandon Scott Rumsey, among others.
This collaboration between the Butler School of Music and the Blanton Museum of Art explores connections between musical and artistic forms. Faculty and student musicians will perform work from a specific period of music and will discuss with museum experts the relationship between musical and visual style.
