Michael Ray Charles Reception and Q&A
Join Landmarks to celebrate the opening of Michael Ray Charles’ new work, (Forever Free) Ideas, Languages and Conversations. Suspended in the atrium of the Gordon-White Building, the sculpture features hundreds of crutches assembled into interconnected forms. A 5:30 p.m. Q&A with the artist in T.S. Painter Hall (PAI) will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. reception in the Gordon-White Building (GWB) with music, food and drinks.
The Michael Ray Charles opening Q&A and reception is sponsored by Landmarks in collaboration with the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE), the Office of the Vice President for University Operations, the John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies, and the African and African Diaspora Studies Department (AADS).
Please RSVP for the reception by 13 October 2015.
