Limestone Sculptures and Nature Paintings
An elegant exhibit of glass-and-limestone sculptures will be featured in the gardens of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center through early December, while new nature art appears indoors. Among Damian Priour’s pieces in Around the Water will be AquaBella, a statue of limestone supports surrounding a central glass ‘column’ that resembles a flowing waterfall. Priour’s compelling sculptures will be in the front meadow, cafe garden and elsewhere on the grounds. Artist Darvin Jones’ Field Notes exhibit in the coolness of the McDermott Learning Center includes vivid, abstract oil paintings with a nature theme. Come see Priour’s and Jones’ work on site through Sunday, December 4.
