Gumbo Ce Soir in Concert at the French Legation Museum
The French Legation Museum is happy to welcome Cajun band Gumbo Ce Soir to the Museum Park as a part of the Evenings Under the Oaks Concert Series on May 25, 2012. Gumbo Ce Soir will bring you to your feet with timeless Cajun classics played with an Austin twist. As always, admission to Evenings Under the Oaks is $5, and picnics and puppies on leashes are more than welcome. Gates open at 6pm, and the music will start at 6:30pm. Proceeds benefit the Museum.
Gumbo Ce Soir, an Austin based Cajun band, came together by their love for traditional Cajun music. They came from diverse backgrounds and bring unique elements to their own brand of traditional Cajun fiddle tunes. Gumbo Ce Soir has had the privilege of playing alongside Austin Cajun greats, Charles Thibodeaux, of Austin Cajun Aces, and Peter Schwartz, a former member of Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys. They have entertained at popular places in Austin like The Evangeline Café, The Hole in the Wall, and Uncle Billy’s. For more information about Gumbo Ce Soir please visit www.gumbocesoir.com.
