Exhibit Opening: Fehr & Granger at the Austin Center for Architecture
Minimalist aesthetics have made a resurgence in recent years and you can see examples of midcentury modern design almost everywhere you look. The Austin History Center, in conjunction with the Austin chapter of the American Institute of Architects, presents a new exhibit, Fehr & Granger, Architects – Austin Modernists on display at the Austin Center for Architecture, 801 West 12th St., from August 15, 2017 to November 15, 2017. Fehr & Granger were some of the first architects to bring modernist architectural design to Central Texas post-World War II. To mark the opening of the exhibit there will be an evening reception on Tuesday, August 15 at 6:30 PM at the Austin Center for Architecture, 801 West 12th St.. The reception is free and open to the public and refreshments will be provided. A limited edition print inspired by the work of Fehr & Granger by Bobby Dixon of KLCTVE Design + Illustration will be available for purchase at the reception.
