Austin Museum Day at Wildflower Center

The Wildflower Center offers kids a chance to talk with women scientists about their careers at free admission Austin Museum Day. The women who work as plant biologists, astronomers, engineers, marine biologists and in other specialties will be on hand inside the Visitors Gallery from 2 to 4 p.m. for this Women In Science event. The grounds will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this special Sunday, with docent-led tours at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and seed planting demonstrations at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. Kids can learn plant names and create a plantable bookmark in the Little House from 11 a.m. to noon, and a store book signing of “Bloomin’ Tales” and more will occur starting at 1 p.m.
