About Vito Acconci/Acconci Studio: Vito Acconci’s design and architecture come from his backgrounds in writing and art. His poems treated words as matter and the page as a field to move over; his performances in the early 70s shifted art from object to interaction and his installations turned museums and galleries into community meetings. In the late 80s he formed the design firm Acconci Studio. acconci.com
