Wildflower sculptures, nature paintings at Wildflower Center

4801 La Crosse Ave., Austin, TX 78739

March 17 through May 28

As the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center celebrates the
centennial year of Lady Bird’s birth, we offer special exhibits on the grounds
and indoors. Enjoy the unique metal artwork of Logan Stollenwerck, who knew
Mrs. Johnson and created this exhibit in her memory. The 8-foot-tall sculptures
in the blooming gardens include a giant bluebonnet and and Indian blanket
wildflower. Also visit the beautiful, 3-D paper art of Shou Ping in the
McDermott Learning Center. She creates amazing renditions of birds, wildflowers
and other nature subjects in watercolor, bringing them to life by creating
their features from cut pieces of paper. For a special treat, meet Shou Ping at
her exhibit from 1 to 4 p.m. during Sunday, March 18, at Artists &
Artisans.

$8 adults, $7 seniors and students, $3 children 5-12, free
for members and younger children. For more information, call 512.232.0100 or visit: http://www.wildflower.org/exhibits.
