Texas Nature Challenge – Central Texas Region Closing Ceremonies
On Saturday, August 9th, from 10:00 a.m. until noon, the Austin Nature & Science Center will host an awards ceremony and a celebration of the Central Texas Region of the Texas Nature Challenge.
There will be a display of the journals, scrapbooks, and photos submitted by the winning teams. There will also be kids’ activities, including the opportunity to make some nature-oriented art. And of course, it wouldn’t be ANSC without some animal visitors.
Each team that has submitted a journal or scrapbook, blog entries, an online journal or scrapbook, or photos will have a goody bag waiting. At 11:30 a.m. we will announce the award winners in various categories, who will receive additional prizes.
This event is open to the public, so please drop by even if you haven’t submitted anything; we would love to see you!
