Nature Nights at Wildflower Center
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, 4801 La Crosse Ave., Austin, TX 78739
Resumes Thursday, July 10
The Wildflower Center on July 10 offers a free, family-friendly Nature Night about snakes. The Austin Reptile Service will display live snakes, while a park ranger leads a habitat hike in search of snake evidence. The Thursday night series continues July 17 with a focus on wildlife tracking. View wildlife print casts and other animal artifacts, and learn from the Capital Area Master Naturalists how to make take-home animal tracks. Nature Nights will conclude July 24 with a focus on birds of prey, including a live bird presentation from the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. Visitors can also dissect owl pellets and experience other bird-related activities.
Nature Nights are sponsored by KVUE and H-E-B, which also provides free Wildflower Center admission the day of each Nature Night. For additional details about Nature Nights, visit: http://wildflower.org/nature/ or call 512-232-0100.
